I just didn't want to die... the roads, especially on the Swiss side, are very windy with blind corners and no barriers at all. The guy I got a lift from drove like a loon as well, and he wasn't the only one. I sincerely doubt my ability to walk down that road without getting squished or knocked flying off the edge.
