Letters flooding in!

OK, so I’ve had about half a dozen emails from people on CouchSurfing.com, but given how recently the article was posted there I’m quite pleased. One offer of accommodation in Switzerland, one of someone to accompany for some of the walk and several words of encouragement. One guy told me about a friend of his who walked across Finland - roughly 800 miles - and it took her 2 months. So I could be about right on my estimates, allowing for stop-off time.

    If you decide to pass by trento (north-east of Italy) you have a couch! ;-)

    Not as part of the walk, but I am planning on travelling round Italy for a fortnight or so before I start… I’m aiming to stop off in Milan so if Trento is nearby it’s another place to look at! :)

    trento is far away from Milan (4 or 5 hourse by train). Trento is close to austria, north east of italy.

    Apologies, I should have looked at my road map! That actually sounds better as it would put me in a whole new region now just a new town/city. I shall give serious consideration to a visit :)
